Right click the layer in layer window and select "Convert to shape". |

| Fill it with any color. Enable "subtract from shape area" at the top bar. Create a spiral shape using custom shape tool. |

| Create more spiral shapes as shown. |

| Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown. |

| Duplicate the layer. Hide the original layer. Select eraser tool. Select a scattered brush from the custom brush presets. Remove the areas as shown. |

| Change the layer mode to "Linear Dodge". Unhide the original layer. |
