Creating animated gif banner
ad |
Animated gif banner ads are the main advertising media these days, so this tutorial will show you how to animate your banner using the Adobe ImageReady Add-On Utility. Let's start by creating a static banner design in photoshop. We used a standard tower size for banner i.e. 160 X 600 pixels. |

In this banner we'll animate the glow effect surrounding "30% off". Blinking of the effect will attract viewers attention towards seasons discount. We applied outer glow effect to "30% off" using settings shown below. |

| We'll shift our workspace from photoshop to imageready. Go to file menu and select "edit in imageready". |
| For creating animation we need to open animation pallete. Do so by clicking window>>animation. Make sure your layer window is also open alongside. |

| Create a new frame in animation pallete. With this frame selected, hide the glow effect on "30% off" in the layer window. Now we have two frames, one with effect on and another with effect off. |

| Select both frames in animation window. Click on delay settings and select the time frame you want your each frame to stay. We used 0.2 sec. |
| You should optimize gif banner to keep the size small. From window menu select optimize. |

In optimize window adjust the setting as per your requirements. We will stick to the default settings. |
| From file menu select save optimized and save it in .gif format. |
| Our gif ad banner is ready. Place it on your site to attract the viewers. |
