| Creating a cool background |
| In this tutorial we'll create a cool background, using just some basic shapes, simple drawing and some layer transfer modes. Start by opening a new file. Create a gradient brown to grey. |

| Apply the gradient to background layer. |

| Using circular shape tool create a circle. |

| Double click the circle layer to open layer style window. Enable stroke and gradient overlay. Use settings as shown. |

| Using pen tool create a rounded arrow shape. |

| Duplicate the layer. Press Ctrl+T to rotate the layer. |

| Similarly create another arrow. |

| Create a circle using circular shape tool. |

| From layer pallete reduce the circle opacity to 50%. |

| Similarly create some more circles. |

| Create a circle over the top most layer. |

| From layer pallete change the color mode to hue. |

| Similarly create another circle and change the color mode to soft light. |

| Our cool background is ready. you can use it as a dvd cover too. Just place images of your favourite band and some text on top of all layers. |
