Creating a CD/ DVD logo in photoshop |
In this tutorial we'll construct a CD and create a logo out of it. Start by creating a cicular shape using ellipse tool in a new file. |

| Enable exclude overlapping shape areas. |

| Create another small circle in the center of the big ctrcle. As we enabled exclude overlapping shape areas, it will create a small hole in the center of big circle and create a disc shape. |

| Open the CD cover artwork. Drag it to the main file. |
 |
| Using transform tool scale the cover artwork according to the disc. |
|
| Ctrl+click on the disc layer to get selection. |
|
Press Ctrl+Shift+I to inverse the selection. |
|
| Press delete to remove the outer area. |
 |
| Double click to open the layer style window and enable drop shadow. Use settings as shown. |

Now we'll give a perspective look to our CD. Press Ctrl+T to transform the disc. Right click on disc and select perspective. |

Adjust the handles till you achieve a nice perapective look.. |

| Press Ctrl +T to scale down the disc. |
 |
| Type company name "STB SOFT software & more". |
 |
| In the layer pallete link all the layers (except background layer) and merge the linked layers by pressing Ctrl+E. |

| Double click the merged layer to open layer style window and enable stroke. Use settings as shown. |

| Hence finished our logo. A nice technique for creating disc shape logos for software,CD and DVD rentals etc. |
