In this tutorial we'll show how you can convert a colored image to black & white. We'll make the output interesting by having only selected portion of the image to turn to B&W. Open an image of your choice. |

Using lasso tool (L) select the image areas that you want to stay in color only. |

| Select more areas of the image by pressing Shift key and Working with lasso tool. This will create multiple selection in the image. |

| Ctrl + Shift + D to apply feather to a selection. We use feather radius 2. This will smooth out the selection. |

| Invert the selection by pressing Ctlr + Shift + I. From image menu select adjustments>>desaturate. |

| This will make the selected portion B&W. |

Add your company logo and use it for your flyers, calenders or web -site home page. |
