| Create a Christmas e-card using pen tool |
In this tutorial we'll create a Christmas ecard. We'll create a Christmas tree using pen tool. Start by selecting pen tool (P) and draw a rough shape of christmas tree in a new file. Dont bother too much about getting it right. just draw a rough sketch. we'll adjust it in next few steps. |

Close the path you draw by ending the path at same point where you started. You'll see a "o" next to the pen icon when you are closing the path. |

| Take direct selection tool (A) and adjust the nodes to correct the shape. Make it symmetrical. |

| Use convert point tool and drag inside nodes to any side. This is to make inside nodes curvical. |

| Ctrl+Click this path layer in path window. This will create a selection outline of christmas tree. |

Create a new layer and fill this selection with green color. |

| What a christmas tree without decoration. Lets decorate it with some bulbs, stars and what not. Using oval tool, draw some circles in red color at the edges of the tree. |

| Using custom shape tool (U) draw a star in yellow color and place it at top of the tree. Apply a stroke effect using settings shown. |

| Fill the background layer with some color or gradient. We used white to sky blue gradient in radial mode. |
|
| On top of the tree type "MERRY XMAS". Apply text warp to make the text circular. Use settings as shown. |

| Also using custom shape tool add some snowflakes in a new layer above all layers. |
|
| Apply some glow effect on text and your christmas card is ready to print or email. |
