Creating face mask using a photograph |
| Start by opening a close up of a face. |

| Click add vector mask button from the bottom of the layer palette. Select black as foreground color. Apply strokes over area outside the face. |

| Create an elliptical selection using elliptical marquee tool. Fill it with black color. |

| Using pen tool in path mode draw shapes over eyes and inside the mouth. Ctrl+Enter the path to get the selection. Fill it with black color to mask the areas. |

| Press Ctrl+U to open hue/saturation window. Apply settings as shown. |

| Press Ctrl+L to open level settings. Apply settings as shown. |

| Duplicate the layer. From filter menu select blur>>gaussian blur. Apply settings as shown. |

| Change the layer mode to lighten. Fill background layer with solid black color. |
