| Start by opening an image of a girl with straight hair. |

| Select smudge tool from the main tool palette. |

| Apply smudge tool settings as shown. |

| Click and drag with smudge tool on golden streaks of hair. |
 |

| Apply same tool time and again for various golden strands in her hair. |
 |
| You have to move the smudge tool in a curly fashion to populate hair with curly strands. |

| Similarly apply smudge tool on the other side of head too. Smudge tool will take color from the pixel clicked and will smudge the same color across the direction of mouse movement. |
