Designing a navigation header for a corporate communication site |
| Start by creating a new file of header size. Fill background with a solid color. |

| Using pen tool create a shape as shown below. |

| Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown. |

| Create a rounded rectangle using rounded rectangle shape tool. Apply a black to white gradient in gradient overlay layer style. From layer menu select layer style>>create layers. Select and merge both the resulting layers. Change layer mode to screen and reduce the opacity. |

| Create a rounded rectangle using rounded rectangle shape tool. |

| Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown. |

| Similarly create more buttons with different colors. |

| Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool. Apply a nice gradient overlay. |

| Insert a relevant cutout and place as shown below. Apply some outer glow to it. Populate the header with navigation links, company logo, search bar and other text details. |
