| Start by opening an image of a model. |

| 1. REDUCING COLOR DETAILS BY LAYER MODES |
Duplicate the layer and change the layer mode to "linear dodge". |

| 2. REMOVING BACKGROUND |
| Select and merge all three layers. Press "D" key to set white as background and black as foreground color. Select eraser tool and start erasing the background as shown in the image below. |

| Open channel window. Duplicate the blue channel. |

| Press Ctrl+L to open level settings. Apply settings as shown. |

| Ctrl+Click the channel thumbnail to get the selection. |
 |
| Press Ctrl+J to copy paste the selection in a new layer. Fill the background layer with white color. |

| Select the copied layer. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown. |
