Creating a news style logo |
Start by opening a new file. Type "NewsWorld". |

Using custom shape tool create arrow shape. We use arrow 19. |
 |
| Press Ctrl+T to transform the arrow and scale it down. Also rotate it as per your design. |

| Duplicate the arrow layer. Press Ctrl+T , right click the arrow and select flip horizontal. |

| Move and place the arrow below news world. |
 |
| Link the text and shape layers by enabling links from layer pallete. |
|
| Click the icon at the top right of layer pallete and select merge linked. |
|
| Create a gradient dark gery to light grey to dark grey. |
 |
| Enable preserve transparency from layer pallete and drag the gradient over news world. |
 |
| Now disable preserve transparency. From filter menu select Alien skin splat >>patchwork.(You can download this plugin from www.alienskin.com/splat/). |

| Use settings as shown. |

| Select the top layer from layer pallete. From layer menu select new adjustment layer>hue/saturation. |

| Use settings as shown. |

| Using radial gradient tool create a gradient of blue to white. Apply gradient to the background layer. |

| From render menu select render>>lighting effects. (Works only in RGB mode). |

| Use lighting settings as shown. |

| Double click the newsworld layer to open layer style window. Apply drop shadow & stroke settings as shown. |

| NewsWorld logo is ready for broadcast. A nice effect for news related, corporate logos. |
