Creating Windows XP style icon for dish antenna

Start by creating an ellipse using elliptical shape tool. Press Ctrl+T and rotate.

Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.

Create another ellipse and place it over the first ellipse.
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.

Create another ellipse. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown.

Place the ellipse as shown in the image below. Move this layer below all the layers in layer order in layer palette.
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Create a small ellipse and place as shown. Apply the previously applied layer style

 
Duplicate the small ellipse layer and scale down a bit.
Create a line for the pipe using line shape tool.
Similarly create more lines at different angles.
Create a rounded rectangle on top of the pipes using rounded rectangle shape tool.
Duplicate rounded rectangles several times. Scale down and place as shown.
Create an ellipse using elliptical shape tool.
Enable intersect shape areas from the top bar.
Create a big ellipse shape.
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool. Move this layer below all the layer in layer palette in layer order. Apply the same layer style to this layer that we use for small circles.
Create another ellipse for the base using elliptical shape tool.
Press Alt and hit Down arrow two times to create 3D depth of the base.
Select and merge all the layers. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
