Creating shining hair like shown in shampoo ads |
| Start by opening an image of a girl with flowing hair. |

| Create selection of a part of hair using lasso tool. Press Alt+Ctrl+D to feather the selection. Press Ctrl+J to copy paste the selection in a new layer. |

| Press Ctrl+L to open level settings. Apply settings as shown. |

| Change the layer mode to "Exclusion". |
 |
| Duplicate the layer. Select blur tool from the tool palette. Adjust brush settings from the options bar at top. |

| Apply the brush on this layer. |

| Change the layer mode to "Linear Dodge". |
