Creating a Valentines ecard |
| With Valentine's Day rapidly approaching, we thought we would share with you a simple way to create an e-card that you can send your sweetie. I'm sure she/he would prefer you took the time to draw something for him/her, than using an e-card service, so let's score some points :) Start by creating a new file. Create a heart shape from custom shape tool. |

| Double click the layer to open layer style window and enable inner shadow and drop shadow. Apply settings as shown. |

| Press Ctrl+T to rotate. |

| Ctrl select the shape layer to get the selection. |

| From edit menu select define brush preset. |

| Type the brush name heart. |

| Press F5 to open the brush window and select the heart brush. Enable shape dynamics and scattering. Apply brush settings as shown. |

| Apply the brush to new layer. |

| From layer palette reduce the opacity to 15%. |

| Duplicate the main heart layer. Scale it down and rotate it in the other direction. |

| Type "Happy Valentine's Day" with a nice font. |

| Duplicate the text layer and scale it up. Reduce the opacity to 15%. |

| Select the top layer. From layer palette select hue/saturation as a new adjustment layer. |
